Abstract

In isolated myocardium from the left atrium of guinea pigs, the effect of acetylcholine (ACh) and 8-Br-cGMP on the slow response action potential and on contractile force was studied. ACh reduced upstroke velocity and overshoot and abbreviated action potential duration.
