Zusammenfassung
Wenn ein Patient ein Nahrungsmittel nicht toleriert und man nichts über die Ätiologie dieser Reaktion zu sagen weiß, so wird dafür in der klinischen Sprache der Begriff „Intoleranz” verwendet. Damit kommt zum Ausdruck, daß der Patient eine veränderte, von der Norm abweichende Reaktion zeigt. Eine ausgesprochene toxische Reaktion auf ein Nahrungsmittel wird nicht als Intoleranz bezeichnet. Auch verrät der Begriff nichts über die Ätiologie und die Pathogenese der Reaktion.
