Abstract

Short term cultures of blood furnished the karyotypes here presented. Heteromorphic sex chromosomes were not detected in either sex. Tentatively the 4th pair of macrochromosomes was sorted as the sexual pair by analogy to other species where the same pair is heteromorphic. The male karyotype was obtained from a specimen captured in São Paulo and the female one from a specimen from Paraná, Brazil. Both are included in the Collection of the Instituto Butantan.
