Summary

After a few remarks about the mechanism of water and food absorption in various sections of the bowel questions that are of intestinal fistulas great importance (2) of the therapy of in (1) the pre- and postoperative phases (3) are pointed out, i. e., water -and electrolyte balance and parenteral alimentation. Carbohydrates and amino acids are the main components of intravenous alimentation. Finally the necessity for and the technique of long-term parenteral alimentation are discussed with reference to examples from the literature.

Zusammenfassung

Nach einigen theoretischen Bemerkungen über den Mechanismus der Wasser- und Nahrungsaufnahme in verschiedenen Darmabschnitten wurden die wichtigsten Probleme der prä- und postoperativen Therapie bei intestinalen Fisteln dargelegt. Hierzu gehören vor allem der Ausgleich der eingetretenen Wasser- und Elektrolytverluste und die Ernährungsrehabilitation in Form von parenteraler Realimentation. Als wichtigste Bestandteile der i.v. Substratzufuhr wurden Kohlenhydrate (Xylit, Sorbit, Glucose) und Aminosäuren genannt. Abschließend wurden anhand von Beispielen aus der Literatur die Notwendigkeit und Technik einer langzeitigen parenteralen Ernährung diskutiert.
