Toxikologische Untersuchungen mit Thiodemeton-Granulaten

Summary

The toxicological advantages of granulated formulations are briefly-discussed. In particular two granular formulations of Disulfoton (Thiodemeton), one of them being Solvirex, have been used for toxicological investigations in rats. Both granular formulations contained 5% Disulfoton as an active ingredient. Though equal in active ingredient contents, the two formulations show a difference in toxicity and also in Cholinesterase inhibition. This leads to the conclusion that the advantage of pesticides in granular form must be supported by adequate formulation.

Zusammenfassung

Die toxikologischen Vorteile von Granulatformulierungen werden kurz diskutiert. Es wird über tierexperimentelle Untersuchungen mit zwei Thiodemetongranulaten, eins davon war Solvirex, berichtet. Die Giftigkeit ist bei Ratten trotz gleicher Aktivstoffanteile unterschiedlich. Auch die Cholinesterase-hemmung ist bei einem von beiden stärker. Als Schlußfolgerung wird festgestellt, daß die Vorteile der Granulatform, vor allem die geringe Giftigkeit, bei der Formulierung optimal erhalten bleiben müssen.
