Abstract
To promote the future development and application of FMS for plastic working, the survey and research activities have been done for two years. Of such activities, this paper covers the sheet metal working. The information about 42 systems (including FMC) were collected from the questionaire sheet sent to system suppliers and users, and/or visiting studies. Purposes and profits of installation of FMS by enterprises surveyed, pattern of work flow, object work, processing equipment, mean operating hours, accuracy of products, punch dimensions used and so on are discussed.
