Interconnection technology on basis of automatic crane installations

Abstract

The crane is the oldest means of conveyance, and the one on which most research has been done on all of its constructional components. The available standards and regulations applicable to cranes are wide-ranging, and hoisting system classifications cover the entire service life. Conversions to changing applications are always possible. This enables clear definition of an important interface between the manufacturer and user. A hoisting system’s favourable degree of space utilization (space required/operating area) provides the best possible prerequisites both for changes in use and also for extended utilization in existing buildings.
