Abstract
Not all sales of farm produce are for cash. The farmer lends credit in selling milk, vegetable and grain crops, and sometimes livestock. He rarely takes security for the debt owing him. But in important instances the state has stepped in to regulate the bookkeeping and finances of those who buy from him and thus assure him payment of sums honestly due him.
