Zusammenfassung

Le pourcentage des grossesses gémellaires s’élève à environ 1% dans notre population (2.18% des grossesses au CHUV pour la période comprise entre le 1 janvier 1990 et le 31 décembre 1995). La mortalité périnatale est nettement plus élevée (environ 10×) que lors d’une grossesse unique [1–3] et représente environ 10% des décès ayant lieu pendant cette période [4]. L’incidence des complications maternelles et fœales est nettement augmentée aussi bien pendant la grossesse que lors de l’accouchement.
