Zusammenfassung

Jedem Praktiker ist die Tatsache bekannt, daß die Empfindlichkeit gegen Narkotica in sehr hohem Maße individuell verschieden ist, so daß man also in dem einen Falle mit sehr geringen Dosen brauchbare Schlaftiefen erhält, und in einem anderen Falle trotz hoher Dosierung nur mit Mühe eine Narkose erzielt, die eine glatte Durchführung des geplanten operativen Eingriffes ermöglicht. Es sei an dieser Stelle zum ersten Male der Versuch gemacht, das Wenige zusammenzutragen, was man zur Erklärung der Narkoseempfindlichkeit anführen könnte. Bei dieser Gelegenheit sei von vornherein zugegeben, daß das Problem der Narkoseempfindlichkeit auf das engste mit der Frage der Operationsgefährdung zusammenhängt und somit zu den schwierigsten Problemen der allgemeinen Chirurgie gehört.
