Zusammenfassung

Im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Krankheitsentitäten kristallisierte sich der Begriff “Arthritis psoriatica” — oder dessen gültige Synonyma — erst vor kurzer Zeit heraus. Das liegt daran, daß die Psoriasis jahrtausendelang als Variante der Lepra betrachtet wurde, daß es ein ebenfalls jahrtausendelanges Nebeneinander von Arthritis, Gicht, Ischias und Rheumatismus gab, daß die terminologische Evolution mit Dermatologie und Rheumatologie zwei unterschiedliche Fachbereiche erfaßte und daß erst neueste Erkenntnisse zum Entitätsdenken führten.
