Zusammenfassung

Als Tangoreceptoren der Haut und der unterliegenden Gewebe können alle Sinneseinrichtungen bezeichnet werden, die bei der Berührung der Körperteile unter sich oder mit anderen Körpern in Erregung geraten. Es würde demnach auch angängig sein, die Einrichtungen für die Temperatur- und Schmerzempfindung ihnen zuzuordnen, so daß sie die Gesamtheit der Reizempfänger umfassen, mit denen der Tastsinn im weiteren oder klassischen Sinne ausgestattet ist1). An dieser Stelle wird der Begriff jedoch enger gefaßt, indem er sich nur auf solche Sinneseinrichtungen beziehen soll, welche auf die mechanischen Folgen der Berührung ansprechen. Völlig scharf ist aber auch diese Bestimmung nicht, da ja die Organe des Temperatur- und Schmerzsinnes gleichfalls mechanisch erregbar sind. Es ist ferner zu bedenken, daß die Erregung der Tangoreceptoren vermutlich nicht unmittelbar durch den mechanischen Eingriff erfolgt, sondern durch Vermittlung eines chemischen Zwischenprozesses (s. u. S. 105).
