Abstract
Paget’s disease of bone is a relatively common condition of unknown aetiology characterized by an increase in bone turnover. Many forms of treatment have been advocated but at the present time only the calcitonins (2, 4, 7) and the diphosphonates (1, 3, 5, 11) offer practical forms of specific therapy.
