Abstract

The sizes of certain molecules, visible organisms, and ultra-microscopic viruses and phages are shown in Tables 1, 2 and 3. The measurements in these three tables are, for convenience, given in different units, but these can readily be transposed. (1 micron = 1000 millimicra, 1 mμ = 10 A., 1 cubic micron = 109 cubic millimicra and 1 cu.mμ = 1000 cubic A.)
