Abstract

The discussion of the kinetics of drug action in chapter 11 showed that the rate of action of drugs on living tissues often could be expressed by simple formulae, but that closer examination of the processes involved showed that the processes in most cases were of a complex chain character and that the theoretical significance of the formulae was very doubtful.
