Zusammenfassung
Im Prinzip ist die Lage der Schilddrüse von Kaninchen, Meerschweinchen, Ratte und Maus gleich. Sie weicht auch nicht erheblich von der des Menschen ab. Allerdings ergeben sich verständlicherweise Größenunterschiede, die wohl nur zum Teil mit der Körpergröße zusammenhängen. Der Schilddrüsenindex soll nach Castaldi sich aus der Formel
