Zusammenfassung

Seit der Veröffentlichung von Albert 1945 über die Erzeugung eines Exophthalmus durch Hypophysenvorderlappen-Präparate an dem Meeresfisch Fundulus heteroclitus ist die Messung der Exophthalmusreaktion an Fischen zu einem einfach zu handhabenden biologischen Test entwickelt worden. Neben den von amerikanischen Autoren verwendeten Fundulus-Arten (4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 20) wurden außerdem mit Erfolg Karpfen (3, 11, 12, 14, 21) und Goldfische (5, 18, 23) herangezogen.
