Abstract

Spontaneous acinar cell carcinoma of the rat pancreas has rarely been described grossly. In one case, confluent yellow to white nodules formed a flattened mass 10 × 5 × 7 mm in the pancreas adjacent to the stomach (Benitz and Roth 1980), while in another case the tumor consisted of firm, glistening, grape-like nodules in the mesentery (Naumann and Kunstyr 1982).
