Abstract
The significance of the apparent contact surface A a , which is plain in Fig. (3.07), is in many cases less obvious. The determination of R a b 0 is therefore often impossible. Fortunately this deficiency is seldom of importance because R a b 0 is negligible in long constrictions, cf. § 3.
