Abstract
In stationary contacts, we distinguish three types of contact noise: I. Thermal noise; II. Specific contact noise; III. Contact trembling.
The specific noise in a sliding contact is treated in § 43. A general treatment of noise theory is given by Rice [1] and Bosse [1].
