Abstract

In Chapters 8 and 9, we will talk about mathematical curves and surfaces and — as an approximation to them — spline curves and spline surfaces. Sometimes it is better to have line drawings as an output. The drawn images of such curves further support the human imagination, especially when we talk about the lines of intersection of such surfaces. For scientific purposes, the line of intersection is often of much more interest than the rest of the image.
