Zusammenfassung
Victor Schilling hat als erster das Phänomen der Monomakrophagocytose beschrieben. In 2 Fällen von Endocarditis ulcerosa fand er neben zahlreichen Makrophagen eine ungewöhnliche Monocytose. Schilling bezeichnete diese Reaktionsform als eine funktionelle Abart der typischen Monocytose.
