Zusammenfassung

Seit Jahrzehnten ist bekannt, daß Kupfer zu den lebenswichtigen Metallen gehört. Dagegen weiß man nicht, welche kupferhaltigen Verbindungen für den Bestand des Lebens von Wichtigkeit sind. Das Auftreten eines krankhaften Zustandes auf Grund reinen Kupfermangels konnte in der menschlichen Pathophysiologie bisher nicht sicher gestellt werden. Dies hat dazu geführt, daß das Interesse für den Kupfermetabolismus eigentlich recht schwach gewesen ist, trotzdem füllte ein Strom von mehr oder minder allgemein interessierenden Artikeln die Zeitschriften.
