Abstract
Brain stems of 75 newborn kittens and 70 newborn rats and mice were treated according to three modifications of the Golgi method (Golgi rapid method, Golgi Cox method, and Golgi Kopsch method). As material of reference were employed sections of brain stems from newborn kittens, rats, and mice, stained with thionine or silver according to methods described by Nissl and Bodian, respectively.
