Abstract
The list is the fundamental data structure used in Mathematica to group objects together. A very extensive set of built-in functions are provided by Mathematica to allow us to manipulate lists in a variety of ways ranging from simple operations ch as moving list elements around to sophisticated operations such as applying a function to a list. This chapter illustrates some of the many operations that can be performed on lists.
