Cellular Aspects of Membrane Permeability

Biology in a critical state of transition: we realize at last that our methodological approaches as well as our panoply of concept are outdated and cannot be of much help as far as explanations of biological functions is concerned. This is specially true in the field of membrane permeability where it is clear that we do not learn very much any more about mechanisms by simply studying the fluxes across a membrane.
