Zusammenfassung
Eine richtige äußerliche Dermatotherapie setzt die Wahl einer geeigneten Grundlage (Vehikel, Trägerstoff) voraus. Hierbei spielen die Lokalisation der Hautveränderungen (intertriginöse Räume, Handflächen und Fußsohlen, Gesicht, Kapillitium), der Hautfunktionszustand (Sebostase, Seborrhö) sowie die Akuität der Hauterkrankung (nässende Erosionen, Vesikeln oder Blasen, Hyperkeratosen, lichenifizierte Hautveränderungen) eine Rolle. Aufgrund der physikochemischen Eigenschaften der Grundlage entfaltet diese therapeutische Effekte und ist damit selbst Arzneimittel. Die in der Dermatotherapie gebräuchlichen Grundlagen bestehen aus einphasigen Systemen (Pulver, Fett/Öl, Flüssigkeit), aus denen durch Mischung zweiphasige Systeme (Paste, Schüttelmixtur [Lotio], Emulsionen) entstehen (Abb. 18.1.1).
