Abstract
I should like to consider very briefly two points: first, the existing experimental data regarding the compensatory behavior of the resistance vessels during the periods of graded hemorrhage to a hypotensive level and of the decompensatory phase of irreversible or “normovolemic” shock, and secondly, our own recent experimental work on this subject.
