Abstract

The increase of rolling forces due to rolling of high strength materials or in the low temperature range causes severe large displacement of rolls , so that a finer control of sheet shape is urgently needed. For such purposes, Boundary Element Method is found to be an efficient tool to estimate displacement and stresses in the rolls or sheets with sufficient accuracy.
