Comparative Ultrastructure of the Retina in Fish, Monkey and Man

  • Conference paper

Abstract

Comparative studies of the fine structure of the retina have been carried out by the author in several species of the vertebrate series ranging from the fish to the monkey (19, 20, 21). In those studies, the ultrastructure and organization of the elements present in all the retinal layers have been analyzed, and the findings of other authors (2, 3–6, 7, 8, 12–17) in the receptor layer have been confirmed.
