Zusammenfassung
Am Ende der 3. Embryonalwoche schließt sich die Neuralrinne zum Neuralrohr das anfangs nur aus einem dicken, mehrreihigen Neuroepithel besteht. Es umgibt den mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Zentralkanal. Aus dem Neuroepithel (primäres Ependym, Neuralepithel) entstehen als kleinste neuronale, ontogenetische Einheiten des spinalen Systems die Nervenzellen des Rückenmarks.
