Zusammenfassung

In der Forschung über delinquentes Verhalten junger Menschen sind in den 80er und 90er Jahren durch prospektive Längsschnittstudien erhebliche Fortschritte erzielt worden. Im Rahmen der stark expandierenden Entwicklungspsychopathologie haben sie zu einer multidisziplinären Entwicklungskriminologie beigetragen (Le Blanc u. Loeber 1993). Sie befaßt sich nicht nur mit der Kriminalität im strafrechtlichen Sinn und den offiziell bekanntgewordenen Delikten, sondern betrachtet diese im allgemeineren Zusammenhang der Entwicklung devianten Sozialverhaltens. Dabei zeigt sich unter anderem:

  • ■ Gestörtes Sozialverhalten ist ein komplexes Phänomen, das hinsichtlich Art, Häufigkeit, Schweregrad, Stabilität und Veränderung unterschiedliche Formen hat.

  • ■ Einfache monokausale Hypothesen aus einzelnen Disziplinen reichen zur Erklärung nicht aus, sondern es ist eine multifaktorielle biopsychosoziale Perspektive erforderlich.

  • ■ Neben den Risiken für die Entstehung, Zunahme oder Verfestigung de-linquenter Verhaltensweisen sind auch protektive Mechanismen zu berücksichtigen, die zu positiven Wendungen in der Entwicklung führen.
