Zusammenfassung

Proteinasen sind proteinspaltende Enzyme, die normalerweise nicht als solche im Plasma vorkommen, sondern als Vorstufen, die ihre Aktivität erst durch Interaktion mit einem oder mehreren Aktivatoren erhalten. Dabei handelt es sich entweder um „selbständige“ Proenzyme oder um solche, die zu Kaskadensystemen gehören (ein aus einer Vorstufe entstehendes Enzym aktiviert das nächstfolgende Proenzym, usw.). Typische Vertreter solcher Proteinasekaskaden sind die Blutgerinnung, die Fibrinolyse, die Komplementkette und das Kalikreinsystem. Proteinasen resp. Proteinasegruppen nehmen biologisch wichtige Schlüsselstellungen ein. Entsprechend müssen Kontrollmechanismen vorhanden sein. Dabei scheinen die Proteinaseinhibitoren eine wesentliche Rolle zu spielen. Diese Substanzen sind Hauptgegenstand der vorliegenden Arbeit.
