Zusammenfassung

Eine wirksame postoperative Schmerztherapie sollte allein schon aus humanitären Gründen selbstverständlich sein. Im klinischen Alltag wird diese Forderung allerdings oft nicht allzu ernst genommen: akute (postoperative) Schmerzen sind zeitlich begrenzt und werden, so glaubt man, schnell wieder vergessen.
