Abstract

One of the most important physics issues in particle physics today is understanding the source of CP violation. The experimental signature of the Standard Model explanation of CP violation is the existence of large, predictable asymmetries in the decay of the into CP eigenstates. The asymmetric e + e B factory was conceived to provide a thorough test of these predictions. In this talk I discuss the particle physics and the detector issues connected with such a machine.
