Zusammenfassung
Die Indikationen für die sonographischen Untersuchungen in der Dermatologie lassen sich in zwei große Bereiche unterteilen: niederfrequenter Ultraschall (7,5–C10 MHz) stellt die Strukturen vorwiegend in der Subkutis und Muskulatur dar, hochfrequenter Ultraschall (20–C50 MHz) vermag dies teilweise in der Epidermis, jedoch gut in der Dermis und Subkutis. Mit Erhöhung der Frequenz, mehr als 50 MHz, steigert sich die Darstellung in der Epidermis, was zur Zeit nur im experimentellen Bereich durchführbar ist.
