Abstract
The time is past when ESD control was not considered a serious problem. It is a malady that affects the electronic manufacturing industry, resulting in losses of billions of dollars each year. The purpose of this article is to bring this problem to light and discuss what can be and is being done. First, to take a look at the culprit.
