Abstract
Lowering capital costs and stabilizing the process has always been a problem area when planning a Class 100 manufacturing facility (no more than 100 particles of 0.5.160m or more in diameter per cubic foot). Typically, a one- to two-year construction cycle is involved during which the process normally changes. Commonly, the end result is large, unexpected cost overrun necessitated by process changes.
