Contact Dermatitis in Children

  • Carlo Luigi Meneghini

Abstract

In spite of its apparent fragility, children’s skin deals very effectively with the various stimuli or insults arising in the environment. Nevertheless, the skin of the newborn, babies and youngsters shows evidence of irritation more frequently than in either older children or adults; at the same time, the incidence of contact allergy seems lower in the younger age groups.
