Zusammenfassung
Während die Visegrad-Länder relativ erfolgreich binnen sieben Jahren eine Transformation schafften, die — bei ländermäßigen Unterschieden im Detail — institutionelle Neuerungen im Rahmen von Rechtsstaat und Demokratie und Privatisierung cum Wettbewerb und wachstumsträchtigen Strukturwandel umfaßten, ist dergleichen Rußland nur ansatzweise gelungen. Zwar kann auch Rußland zur Jahreswende 1997/98 partielle Reformerfolge vorweisen, aber die grundlegenden Herausforderungen und Probleme konnten nicht gelöst werden.
