Zusammenfassung
Die Entwicklung der präoperativen Funktionsdiagnostik nahm in den 30er Jahren unseres Jahrhunderts ihren Anfang. Jahrzehntelang galt die Bronchospirometrie als das ideale Untersuchungsverfahren zur wirklichkeitsgetreuen Simulation einer Pneumektomie. Später kamen kompliziertere Techniken wie Ventilations- und Perfusionsblockaden, einseitige CO2-Rückatmungsversuche und die Ergospirometrie nach Knipping hinzu.
