Zusammenfassung

Akute und chronische Schmerzzustände unterscheiden sich voneinander in Ätiologie, Pathogenese, Symptomatik und der daraus hervorgehenden Therapie. Akuter Schmerz ist meist durch eine drohende oder eingetretene somatische Schädigung bedingt und mit dem Modell der Nozizeption zu erklären.
