Ultrastructural and Immunocytochemical Features of Ovarian Tumors

  • Chapter
Progress in Surgical Pathology

Abstract

BEFORE DESCRIBING the ultrastructural and immunocytochemical features of ovarian neoplasms, it is worthwhile to review the embryology of the ovary, since the classification of ovarian tumors stems from the different routes of ovarian embryologic development, and tumors within the same classification have many overlapping histologic, ultrastructural, and immunocytochemical features.
