The unified description of viscoelastic and thixotropic properties of human blood

Abstract

A modified molecular network theory is used for the description of human blood having both viscoelastic and thixotropic properties. These diverse rheological properties are differentiated in the theoretical description through the material constants representing quantitatively the rate of both mechanisms of the rheological behaviour.
