Zusammenfassung
Osteochondrodysplasien sind generalisierte Entwicklungsstörungen des Knorpel-Knochen-Gewebes. Ihre Gesamthäufigkeit beträgt ca. 1:1.000. In dieser Zahl verbergen sich zahlreiche jeweils sehr seltene Krankheiten (Tabelle 221.1). Ihre Heterogenität erklärt sich aus der Vielzahl von Geweben und Einzelschritten, die an der Bildung des Skeletts beteiligt sind und deren Ausfall zu einem jeweils anderen Krankheitsbild führt.
