Control by Delay of a Service System

  • Conference paper
Operations Research ’92

Abstract

Results concerning waiting times in stochastic systems are sometimes surprising. A simple example in this context is the waiting time from an arbitrary epoch t until the next renewal in a stationary renewal process, that is, the forward recurrence time V i .
