Abstract
Water resources have to be managed with respect to both their quantity and quality. In its major part this paper deals with water quality management, but it also focuses on an important interface of the management of water quality and water quantity: the provision of drinking water. Throughout the paper a general equilibrium framework is applied in order to capture the main effects' and feedbacks of ecological-economic interdependence.
