Zusammenfassung

In eine metallische Matrix kleine Teilchen einer anderen Phase einzubetten, ist eine wirkungsvolle Methode zur Erhöhung der Festigkeit und Härte von Metallen. Die Teilchen können in ihrer endgültigen Form durch pulvermetallurgische Prozesse der metallischen Matrix zugesetzt werden (vgl. Kap. D 2) oder durch Phasenumwandlung aus einer festen Lösung entstehen. Hierzu werden zwei wesentliche Phasenumwandlungen benutzt: eutektische Umwandlung und Ausscheidung aus übersättigter fester Lösung. Das letztere wird hier besprochen.
