Zusammenfassung

Die Zellen des Hypophysenvorderlappens (HVL) der erwachsenen männlichen Ratte können unter Ruhebedingungen zu den stabilen Elementen gerechnet werden (Dhom u. Stöcker, 1964, 1965; Knutson, 1966). Der Prozentsatz DNS-synthetisierender Kerne (= 3H-Index) liegt im HVL etwa so hoch wie im Parenchym von Leber und Niere (Noltenius, Schellhas und Öhlert, 1963; Stöcker u. Heine, 1965). Demzufolge kann man annehmen, daß auch der Proliferationsmodus im HVL langsam ist, das heißt, daß die DNS-Synthesephase S, die postsynthetische prämitotische Phase G2 und die Mitose M bei halbierter DNS-Syntheserate (= DNS-Neubildung pro Zeiteinheit) doppelt so lang dauern wie in permanent rasch proliferierenden Geweben (Stöcker, 1966, 1967).
