Abstract
The authors describe the stationary states of motion of gas in a triaxial stellar system which rotates about one of its principal axes. Four dynamically different situations are possible, in two of these the gas layer is warped. The morphology of elliptical radio galaxies with dust lanes such as NGC 5128 (Cen A) and M 84 can be understood on the basis of this model; transient phenomena are not required.
